IPO GMP Status is not an investment adviser.
Nothing on this site — no premium, estimate, subscription figure, performance record or news item — is investment advice or a recommendation to apply for, buy, sell or hold any security. Grey market premium is unofficial and unregulated; it is not a price you can trade at and not a forecast.
No regulatory registration
IPO GMP Status and its operators are not registered with SEBI in any capacity — not as an investment adviser, research analyst, merchant banker, stock broker, sub-broker or distributor — and hold no licence from any exchange, AMFI or the RBI.
That has a practical consequence. The protections that come with dealing with a regulated intermediary, such as a complaint through SEBI's SCORES portal or the SMART ODR dispute-resolution platform, do not apply to anything published here.
Information and education only
This is an information and data-aggregation site. It collects what is already public — issue dates, price bands, lot sizes, subscription figures, grey market quotes, listing prices — and puts it in one place. Nothing on it is a solicitation or an offer to buy or sell any security, and nothing is tailored to your circumstances, objectives or tolerance for risk.
What a grey market premium is
The grey market is an informal, over-the-counter market that operates outside the stock exchanges and outside SEBI's regulatory framework. A “GMP” is the extra amount some dealers there are quoting, above the issue price, for an IPO's shares before they list.
It is a rumour with a number attached: quoted by a small number of unregistered participants, in low volumes, and liable to move sharply or be quoted differently by two dealers on the same afternoon. It is not published by the company, the registrar, the exchanges or SEBI, and none of them stand behind it.
Estimates and past performance
An estimated listing price or estimated gain on this site is arithmetic, not a prediction: the issue price plus the quoted premium, in rupees or per cent. Nothing forecasts it and nothing guarantees it. IPOs regularly list well above or well below their grey market quote, and some list at a loss.
The GMP performance tracker records how past estimates compared with actual listing prices. It is history. Past performance — of an IPO, a sector, or the grey market's record of calling listings — does not indicate future results.
Automated, delayed and possibly wrong
Every figure here is gathered and reconciled by software, with no human checking each number. Premiums are read from several public trackers; where they disagree the site takes the median. Dates, price bands and subscription come from the exchange where it publishes them.
That reduces error; it does not remove it. Sources can be wrong, stale, or changed after they were read, and an automated reading can misinterpret a page. Data is refreshed on a schedule — every source is read about every 20–22 minutes during the day and every two hours or so at night — not continuously, so what you see can be minutes or hours behind — the Updated time shows when this site last read its sources, not when any source last changed. A premium carried by few trackers is drawn hatched on the chart so its thin sourcing is visible.
Everything is provided “as is”, with no warranty of accuracy, completeness or timeliness. Check dates, price bands, lot sizes and subscription against the Red Herring Prospectus, the exchange and the registrar before you act on them.
PAN numbers and allotment checking
The allotment page lets you keep a list of PAN numbers so you do not have to type them out each time. Without logging in, that list is stored in your own browser, in this site's local storage. It is not backed up anywhere, and clearing it removes it for good.
If you create an account (with a mobile number or an email address and a password, or with Continue with Google), the list is saved to that account on this site's own server instead, so it is there on any device you log in from. On the server:
- the PANs are stored encrypted (AES-256), and nobody can read them without the server's key;
- your password is never stored, only a one-way scrypt hash of it;
- with Google, this site receives only your email address and Google's ID for your account, checked with Google itself. It never sees your Google password and gets no access to your Google account;
- the list is removed from your browser when you log in, and Delete account removes the account and every PAN in it for good.
Some registrars cannot be queried automatically — they require a captcha, or sit behind bot protection, or publish no form a server can post to. For those the page shows a link and nothing at all is sent: you open the registrar's own page and type the PAN there.
For the registrars that do answer a plain request, marked auto on the page, the PAN is sent to this site's own server, which asks that registrar and returns the answer. On that path the PAN
- travels in the body of a request, never in a web address, so it cannot end up in a browser history or an access log;
- is never written to any log — the server records the company and the outcome and deliberately nothing else;
- is not written to disk or cached for the check itself, and not kept once the answer has been returned (a signed-in list is stored only in its encrypted form, as above);
- goes to that registrar and to no one else.
A PAN is an identity document. If you would rather none of yours left your browser at all, do not log in, use the links and skip the automatic check — every issue is reachable that way. The allotment result comes from the registrar and is reported as given: the registrar's own page is the record, and if the two disagree, the registrar is right.
Visit statistics
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits: which pages are opened, roughly where from (city level), and on what kind of device and browser. It sets cookies for that. It is told the address of each page you open and nothing you type — no PAN, no login and no allotment result is ever sent to it. You can block it with any tracker blocker, or opt out with Google's own browser add-on, and the site works the same.
Taking part in the grey market
Grey market dealing is unregulated. Trades there are settled on trust, with no exchange guarantee, no clearing corporation behind them and no investor-grievance mechanism. This site reports what that market is quoting; it does not facilitate, encourage or take part in it, and it does not put anyone in touch with a dealer.
Personal holdings and conflicts
The people who run this site may apply for, hold, or sell shares of companies that appear on it, including issues shown on the board at the time. Nothing here is published to influence the price of any security, and the figures are gathered by the same automated process whether or not anyone involved holds the stock.
No advertising or paid placement
As of the date at the top of this page, IPO GMP Status carries no advertising, no sponsored listings and no paid placement, and no issuer, registrar, broker or lead manager has paid for an issue to be shown, ranked or described in any way. It carries no analytics or tracking scripts either. If that ever changes, this section will say so and paid content will be labelled where it appears.
No affiliation; names and logos
IPO GMP Status is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for any issuer, registrar, merchant banker, stock exchange, SEBI, or any of the sites whose public data it reads.
Company names, IPO names and logos belong to their respective owners and are shown only to identify the issue being described.

Your decisions are your own
Any decision to apply for an IPO, or to buy, sell or hold any security, is yours alone and made at your own risk. Before investing, read the company's Red Herring Prospectus and consider consulting a SEBI-registered investment adviser. Investing in securities carries risk, including the loss of the amount you invest.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, IPO GMP Status and its operators accept no liability for any loss or damage — direct, indirect or consequential, including trading or investment losses — arising from the use of, or reliance on, anything published here, or from the site being unavailable, delayed or wrong.
Changes and corrections
This disclaimer may be updated at any time; the date at the top shows the version in force, and continuing to use the site means you accept it.
Spotted a figure that looks wrong? Corrections are welcome — the faster a bad number is reported, the faster it comes off the board.
